World media ignores cross-border terrorism

This is with reference to the arrest of two Afghan nationals by security agencies of Pakistan. According to the sources, the two suspects belong to Khost and Kandhar provinces of Afghanistan and the security personnel have recovered Indian currency from their possession apart from banned literature, important maps, and documents from them. It is not the first incident of the type where terror suspects have been captured possessing Indian currency and weapons. It is another story that every time when Pakistani authorities nab terrorists having direct links with India it never gets attention of international media. On the other hand, the very same international media leaves no stone unturned to prove Pakistani hand even if a fly falls in the cup of tea somewhere in USA, UK, Russia or India. And then efforts renew at all forums to prove that Pakistan is 'the only terrorist breeding country on the face of the earth. In labeling Pakistan as a terrorist country, it becomes easy for India to pursue its nefarious agenda of exercising its hegemony over entire region. The arrest of these two Afghans with Indian currency recovered from their possession is another open evidence of Indian sponsored terrorism in neighbouring states. Ironically, the incident will go unnoticed by media both regional and international because its not Pakistan but India who is party to the incident. With such a role in neighbouring states, India has no right to make composite dialogue with Pakistan conditional to unnecessary demands. SYED AAYAN HUSSAIN, Islamabad, January 28.
