LAHORE- Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of a fire that engulfed the fourth floor of a building near Kalma Chowk, Lahore, sources reported today.
The fire, which reportedly erupted because of a short circuit, was brought under control after hour-long rescue work. The building, Century Plaza, housed money changers, computer shops and travel agencies. Four people - present on the floor when the fire broke out - were rescued and shifted to a hospital for medical assistance. Shopkeepers in the area claimed that fire-extinguishing equipment was not available in the building.
