10 killed, over 30 injured in Bolan road accident

QUETTA - At least 10 persons were killed, including two women and over 30 others injured in a road accident between a passenger bus and truck in Bolan district, some 70km southeast of Quetta, on Tuesday.According to Balochistan Levies Force officials, a passenger bus was heading towards Quetta from Larkana. As it reached near Ab-e-Gom area of Bolan district a speedy truck coming from opposite direction collided with it. As a result, 10 people, including two women were killed on the spot and over 30 others sustained serious injuries.“Truck driver Sher Muhammad and bus driver Muhammad Rafiq were also amongst the killed” , sources said ,adding, that the incident occurred due to over-speeding.Deputy Commissioner Bolan Mir Muhammad Aslam Raisani alongwith Levies Force and rescue workers rushed to the site after getting information and retrieved the bodies from the bus while injured were immediately shifted to Quetta for treatment.Hospital sources said that the condition of four injured was serious.Some other deceased were identified as Imdad Ali, Liaquat Ali, Zam Bibi, Muhammad Qasim, Shahnawaz and Inayat.Identity of two deceased persons could not be confirmed.  Most of the deceased belonged to Sukkur, Jacobabad and Larkana areas of Sindh.Local administration handed over bodies to heirs after completing legal formalities.Local administration has registered a case and started investigation into the incident.
