Three killed in Peshawar rickshaw blast

PESHAWAR  - At least three persons were killed and four others injured when a CNG kit exploded in a auto rickshaw in the outskirts of Peshawar on Tuesday.
Sources said that the blast occurred in Phando square but it was not confirmed either the blast occurred due to CNG kit or transportation of any explosive device, however, police are investigating the matter. Soon after the incident, Edhi Rescue 1122 staff rushed to the site and shifted the injured persons to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.
Among the killed two were identified as Shahid son of Shah and Muhammad while the explosion caused injuries to Abdul Wali, 25, Rohullah and two unknown persons.
According to Bomb Disposal Squad’s initial report, the explosion may have been caused due to the explosives being transported or planted in the rickshaw.
Senior police official Rahim Shah confirmed the blast and casualties and said that police were investigating the incident.
