PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has urged the youth to support his government in the mission of changing the system and eliminating the scourge of corruption from the government machinery so that the goal of real welfare society based on supremacy of law, merit and justice could be achieved.
He said that PTI-led coalition government was voted to power in the name of change wherein youth fully supported us. Hence, he said his government was endeavouring for change of system round-the-clock. He asserted that our new budget would be the true reflection of the aspirations of people that would be tax-free and welfare budget despite the meagre available resources.
He vowed that besides embarking upon mega development plan, improving social services and ameliorating lot of the people especially the poor, comprehensive schemes of skills and jobs for youth have been included in the new ADP. Similarly, he said that improvement in the quality of primary and higher education as well as technical training would be given special focus in the new fiscal year.
He was talking to delegation of Insaf Youth Wing (IYW) that called on him at the CM Secretariat Peshawar and apprised him of their plans and recommendations for overcoming unemployment and empowering the youth. Advisor to CM on Economic Affairs Rafaqat Ullah Babar, MPA Zareen Zia and PTI Provincial Sectary General Khalid Masood were also present on this occasion. Pervez Khattak said that youth is our real asset and we fully believe in their high capabilities. He said that the nation suffered a lot due to ignoring the youth and not benefiting of their talent. However, he said that we would involve our youth in all spheres of life and would awaken their leadership capabilities.
The chief minister appreciated the youth empowerment plan of the delegation and said that we rightly expected such constructive thinking of our youth that would be realised in letter and spirit. He assured that provincial government would implement the schemes of youth empowerment, revival of youth assembly, holding youth leadership conference and launching Provincial Internships Program (PIP) on the pattern of National Internship Program (NIP). 
He said that provincial government wanted to enable its educated youth to become employers and investors. He agreed with the viewpoint that the basic reason of unemployment was substandard education and ill-conceived polices of past regimes.  He said, "we are changing the entire system of education, skills and training in the province to bring it at par with international level and thus our degrees are accepted and respected according." Pervez khattak said that his government would honour each and every promise with the masses.
He said that unified education system in English has been launched throughout the province so that the dual system of education introduced by the past colonial regime could be winded up for good and enable our poor to reach highest places as well. He said that crash programme of providing missing facilities in our schools, including classrooms, toilets, drinking water, boundary walls and furniture have been started wherein Pakistanis from within and outside the county have been appealed to donate for the purpose.
He deplored that our existing schools lacked 13 thousand rooms, nine thousand boundary walls, eight thousand toilets and other basic facilities of electricity, ceiling fans and drinking waters. Similarly, he said that due to continuous loadshedding, soaring power rates and non-cooperation of PESCO employees, it is decided to transfer all the schools to solar power that would ensure uninterrupted and cheap power supply to our schools and children besides considerable savings in power bills. The chief minister said that a brisk plan of technical education has also been chalked out including setting up of 1st ever state-of-the-art Technical University and Air University at Azakhel.
 He said that provincial government was going to generate electricity from its additional gas resources that would enable us to produce over 400MW electricity. This electricity, he said would cost us at the rate of Rs9 per unit and this cheap electricity would be provided to our industrial units.
