Seven terrorists held

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police arrested seven terrorists late Friday night from capital’s suburban area and recovered arms and ammunition from them.
Acting on a tip-off, Tarnol police rounded up the suspects from a house and recovered five grenades, sophisticated arms and explosive material. Police officials said they suspected the accused were members of a banned militant organisation linked with tribal areas. Police high-ups told journalists the accused were planning to carry out an attack in the heart of Islamabad. However, they did not reveal further detail.
“Terrorists wanted to hit the federal capital hard,” a spokesperson of Islamabad police told The Nation.–Kaswar Klasra
