One man was killed and four others sustained burn injuries when a gas cylinder went off here in Sialkot early Monday morning. Five shops were destroyed in the explosion.
According to police, gas cylinder in a restaurant located in Ugoki area of Sialkot suddenly burst due to unknown reasons. A restaurant employee, Ghaffar, 16, was killed on the spot while four others standing nearby sustained burn injuries. The blast was so powerful that it created scare in the areas and people from the surrounding buildings ran out of their homes in panic. Five shops were destroyed in the explosion. The injured people were rushed to nearby hospital and a critically injured restaurant servant was referred to Lahore hospital.
