Govt sets criterion for laptops distribution


PESHAWAR - The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formed a criterion for distribution of laptops among talented students, according to which out of 25,000 laptops, University of Peshawar will get a share of 1814 laptops.
The colleges affiliated with Peshawar University will get the quota of 102 laptops for which all the necessary arrangements has been completed.
Following in the footprints of Punjab Government, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also announced to distribute laptops among the talented students of BS four-year programmes for which the criteria of 65 per cent marks in the last annual examination have been fixed. 
Out of 25,000 laptops, Peshawar University will get 1814 laptops, Suprerior Science college will get 25 laptops, Government college will get 35 laptops, Jinaah College Peshawar for girl will get 29 laptops, Mathra college will get four laptops, Government college Peshawar will get 35 laptops, seven laptops has been reserved for disabled person while college of Home economics will get two laptops.
The remaining laptops would be distributed in other universities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which include Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Malakand University Chekdara, Gomal University, Kohat University, University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Hazara University, Swat University and other
In Peshawar University 606 laptops would be distributed among the student of Business Administration while the student of Computer science will get 200 laptops. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated one billion rupees for the students of BS four-year programme of Biotechnology, Disaster Management, Bio diversity, Economics, Electronics, Pharmacy, Political Science, Psychology, Commerce, Regional Studies, Sociology and Statistics.
