Increasing crime rate exposes police claims

HAFIZABAD - The District Police claims about the decrease in crime have been proved hollow as apparently it seems that the criminal have been given a free hand in the city. The robberies, snatching of cars bikes, tractors, dacoities have been increased in the district for the past about a month causing insecurity among the people. As per detail, a woman was murdered in the city by dacoits, two villagers were seriously injured in Tahli Goraya, a daring daylight dacoity was committed in the city from where ornaments worth Rs2.5 million was taken away few days back. Similarly on Wednesday, Faraz, son of Rahmat, a resident of Mona Jhal, was deprived of his tractor trolley by eight armed bandits near the village, Manzoor of Ballo Nau was deprived of his cash and cell-phone by two armed dacoits near Ballo Nau. Two thousand empty sacks were stolen by five accused from the godown of Ahsanullah of Rasheedpura the other day.
