PESHAWAR- Qatar Airlines will resume flight operations to and from Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar from Thursday, a travel alert posted on its website said.
Qatar Airlines has officially announced to restart its operations from July 3, 2014 after remaining suspended for about a week in the wake of an attack on PIA 756 flight on June 25, 2014 which left a woman dead and two other crew members injured.
Terminal Manager Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Peshawar Airport, Syed Latiful Haq confirmed that Qatar Airlines had intimated to the authorities about starting its flight operations from July 3. He added that although other international airlines had not intimated their status as yet, they were likely to resume shortly.
Six international airlines, including Etihad, Gulf, Saudi Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Qatar and Air Arabia, are operating from Peshawar airport, mostly carrying the working class of KP to Middle Eastern countries and other destinations.
