We accept Gilani as PM: Shujaat

PESHAWAR - PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Tuesday that PML-N agitation cannot shake the govt as the month of March has already finished and now it is May.‘After May, there will be the month of June’, he added. He further said that Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani is still the Prime Minister and we will comment after court’s detailed verdict is announced.Talking to media persons briefly after addressing a function held at Nishtar Hall to mark the Labour Day, he said that PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif was talking about a long march against government, but he has actually forgotten that the month of March has already passed and it’s now May, and the very next month is June. Speaking to the Labour Day’s gathering, he announced Rs 30 million for the construction of a labour hall in Peshawar from his own pocket. He told the gathering that upon the demand of Overseas Pakistanis, when he was the then Prime Minister, he had issued directives for bringing labourers bodies back to Pakistan free of cost through PIA.He said that now Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, his brother, was trying his level best to benefit labourers. On this occasion, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on behalf of Wajahat Hussain, who is Federal Minister for Human Resources and Development, announced free insurance facility and 20 per cent increase in pension of around Rs 3 lakh pensioners of Employees Old Age Benefit Institute from January 2012. He said his brother went one step ahead as he had directed for the free of cost transportation of the body of overseas labourers from any airport to his/her concerned hometown.
, besides giving Rs 50,000 for burial, Sahara health insurance, paying Rs 10 lakh to the heirs of the deceased and other necessary expenditures.He said that labourers made their life easy, so why not, they should be benefited wholeheartedly by giving them all facilities. Journalists and cameramen are going to be included soon in accidental group insurance scheme, under which, an affectee in case of death would get financial aid Rs 10 lakh, Rs 2 lakh for lifelong disability and Rs 1 lakh for temporary Impairment, he said.Nishtar Hall was jam packed as hundreds of labourers attended the gathering which was held under the auspices of Pakistan Wapda Hydro-Electric Central Union. Besides others, PML-Q senior Vice President Intikhab Chamkani, Vice President Ajmal Wazir, PML-Q KP convener MPA Nighat Orakzai, Central Chairman of hydro union Gohar Taj, provincial Chairman Muhammad Iqbal and Khursheeda Bano also spoke on the occasion.
