PTI rally rejects recent hike in POL prices

ISLAMABAD Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has strongly rejected the recent price hike in the petroleum products and said it would break the backbone of common man already facing problems due to the wrong and elite-friendly economic policies of the Government. A protest rally against the price hike, organised by PTI Women Wing, was held here on Monday, which marched from PTI Central Secretariat to the Islamabad Press Club. The participants were holding placards inscribed with slogans against the Government. They were chanting slogans against the price-hike and corruption. Addressing the rally at Islamabad Press Club, PTI Women Wing Central President, Fozia Kasuri termed the Governments policies anti-masses. Demanding immediate withdrawal of the prices, she maintained that the recent increase in the prices of petroleum and electricity products was absolutely unjustified. She flayed the Government for taking dictations from IMF and World Bank, adding the present rulers were following their agenda instead of protecting the public interest. The rally was also addressed by PTI Rawalpindi President Mrs Yasmin Farooqi and Hazara Division President Mrs Razia Khan Khattak Later, talking to TheNation Fauzia Kasuri has condemned the worsening law and order situation in the country. She was of the view that continued price hikes had added to peoples miseries. There was no governance, as robberies and other crimes were going unchecked. Further Fauzia condemned the brutal violence of LDA administration against LDAs teachers, Fauzia Iftikhar. She urged the Government to take measures for rule of law in the country and also demanded immediate dispensation of justice.
