SARGODHA - A young girl, who was allegedly molested by a youth at her house, stabbed the wrongdoer to death during offering resistance in Liaquat Colony here on Tuesday. It was learnt that one Zeeshan barged into the house of 'I and sexually harassed her. However, she offered hard resistance. During the process, she attacked him with a knife which is used for cutting vegetables. Resultantly, he suffered critical wounds and later succumbed to the injuries. The local police reached the spot and started investigation. Separately, aerial firing in jubilation during a wedding ceremony claimed the life of a boy on Tuesday. A relative of the groom namely Tariq, a resident of Chak 108/NB, sprayed bullets in the air with a 12 bore gun in the wedding ceremony of one Qaiser at his residence in Sahiwal police precincts. Resultantly, Sardar Bakhsh (15) was hit by a stray bullet in the abdomen and died on the spot. The police rushed to the spot and transported the dead body to the THQ Hospital Sahiwal for autopsy. A case has been registered against the culprit. SHOOTOUT: A shootout erupted between the members of a drug pushers gang headed by Waheed alias Weeda and their rival gang headed by Asif over the issue of retaining dominance in the area near the Military Farm in the Urban Area police limit. The armed clash spread panic among the citizens. As on hearing the noise of exchange of fire, the police reached the spot, the rivals managed to escape. The policemen followed the fleeing culprits and arrested two brothers Asif and Khurram, residents of Subhan Colony, Farooq of Faisal Town and Faisal Masih of Madina Colony. The police have registered a case against 17 members of the gangs and started investigations.
