He termed it a worst kind of atrocity and outrageous act.  He made it clear that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif should keep in mind that the force policy would not discourage PTI and PAT protesters. He vowed they would stay till the resignation of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and would further move forward.  He warned the government of dire consequences if it registers FIR under terrorism act against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and PAT Chief Allama Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. Rawalpindi REPORTER ADDS:  Rawalpindi Correspondent adds: Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) vehemently denounced police brutality on media persons covering clashes between law enforcement agencies and protesters of PAT and PTI in Red Zone area of Islamabad.
The CPDI demanded of the government to take notice of the incident and take strict action against the cops and officers involved in attack on media persons. Talking to media persons here on Monday, CPDI Programme Manager Syed Kausar Abbas Bukhari condemned police attack on media men in Red Zone and said that journalism is a noble profession and journalists are like eyes and ears of the society. He said that police assaulted against media on the nod of the government to gag its voice of truth.
"The way police resorted to media cameramen, reporters and other technical staffers covering PTI and PAT clashes with police is horrible and highly condemnable and has become part of history," Syed Kausar Shah said, adding that Punjab and Islamabad police were involved in violence against journalists.
The most worried thing is that some ministers have jumped into the arena to hide the suppression of police saying, "We don't know who these people are in police uniform and beating media."  Bukhari demanded of the government to take strict action against the police vagabonds for torturing media men and bring them to court of justice.
