ISLAMABAD- Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman vowing to stick with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said democracy is under attack by the so-called political parties.
“How can you resign for 30 days? What difference will that make to the situation,” he questioned.
“Our Parliament got attacked and we just sat there and watched,” he further remarked.
“Those who are creating this impression of difference between police and army are enemies of the state," he said.
Drawing a comparison, he said "When the Indian Parliament was attacked; it was seen as an attack on India's democracy. Today, Pakistan's Parliament is under attack. Is our Parliament any less than the Indian Parliament?"
He called these protests a conspiracy against democracy and vowed to make it fail.
He suggested that treason cases should be initiated against the PAT and PTI leadership for attacking the state institutions.
