Narrow escape for Musharraf as blast targets convoy near Faizabad flyover

Islamabad – A massive explosion, believed to be courtesy six kilograms’ worth of explosions, shook Faizabad flyover earlier in the morning, moments after former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and his convoy crossed the flyover, reports reveal. The former army chief was in the process of being shifted from the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) to his farmhouse in Chak Shahzad.  Reports suggest that the explosion took place in a pipeline situated near the flyover. Musharraf has been shifted to his farmhouse and no casualties have been reported thus far.
