Lahore - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met Nawa-i-Waqt Group Chairperson Rameeza Majid Nizami to condole the death of her father Dr Majid Nizami at the latter’s residence.
Calling the demise national loss, the prime minister paid tribute to Majid Nizami for following in the footsteps of Quaid-i Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
“Dr Nizami spent his life for guarding ideological fronts. His services for journalism were matchless. He never bowed to dictatorship. No one can fill the vacuum created after his death,” Nawaz said.
However, the prime minister hoped Rameeza Nizami would carry forward Majid Nizami’s mission. Later, he offered fateha for the departed soul.
