JI to surprise masses in upcoming polls: Baloch

LAHORE – The Jamaat-e-Islami on Sunday presented a revolutionary manifesto that promises the enforcement of the rule of the Quran and Sunnah, freedom from the US slavery, economic progress, security of the citizens, supremacy of the constitution and the law besides eradication of corruption, nepotism, injustice and exploitation.
Speaking at a meeting with the party workers on Sunday, JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said that the JI would give a surprise to the nation in the coming elections. He said that the need of the hour was that an interim government must be announced without any delay and new voters lists should be prepared in Karachi under the supervision of the armed forces keeping in mind the Supreme Court orders. Baloch said that the PPP, the PML-Q, the ANP and MQM had done irreparable damage to the country on all fronts. The masses had faced price hike, the rulers had shown disrespect to the orders of the judiciary and failed to provide security to the masses and to control terrorism.
The country stood isolated due to the wrong foreign policy. Therefore, he said, the nation should reject all these parties in the upcoming elections.
