KARACHI  - Senior leader Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Senator Mian Raza Rabbani’s father passed away here on Saturday after protracted illness.
According to details, 90-year old Atta Rabbani was suffering from various diseases for the last few years and was under treatment. He breathed his last on Saturday morning in Karachi.
Funeral prayers of the deceased will be held at Masjid Sultan, Defence area of Karachi on Sunday (today) and he will be laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, leaders of the PPP, PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain, ANP leader Asfandyar Wali and leaders of the political parties have expressed profound grief over the sad demise of Rabbani’s father.
They prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
