SIALKOT - Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Naeem Anwar Qureshi has expressed gratitude to the Punjab Chief Minister for approving initiation and completion of various development projects in Sialkot during his visit to the city last month.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, he expressed special gratitude to CM Shahbaz Sharif for the establishment of the Sialkot Development Authority, which he said would go a long way in development of Sialkot on modern lines having quality civic amenities, availability of indispensable necessities, clean environment, proper planning and execution of development schemes etc.
The SCCI president pointed out that on the businessmen request the chief minister announced up-gradation of Sialkot-Aimanabad Road into dual carriageway, start construction of Khwaja Safdrar Medical College without delay, launching of Sialkot Transport System to provide cheap and quality transport facility to the workers and general public, construction and resurfacing of Khawaja Safdra Road, revival of construction of two Labour Colonies, an amount of Rs500 million for the SCCI’s Sialkot City Development Package Program in the next provincial budget, completion of Cardiac Centre and other projects.
He said that the completion of these projects would help ensure better infrastructure and health facilities to people of the city.
