PML-N rejects Musharraf's criticism

LAHORE - The PML-N has termed the criticism on Nawaz Sharif by former dictator Pervez Musharraf as pound foolish; penny wise. PML-N spokesperson Ahsan Iqbal while commenting upon Musharrafs criticism on Nawaz Sharif, said that Musharraf should feel ashamed of himself as he was the one who had sacrificed national interests for his own interests. If driving bargain of national sovereignty for remaining in power, pushing country into the fire of terrorism on US dictation, violating the Constitution only to come into power, and dragging judges on the bare land is called intelligence, Musharraf should be held equal to this intelligence, Ahsan said. He said that the former dictator should come back to country rather than living abroad and he would soon know his worth. He said that the difference between Musharraf and Nawaz Sharif was evident from the fact that Musharraf had been moving from pillar to post while Mr Sharif ruled the heart of the millions. Had there been a dictator like Musharraf in power on May 28, 1998, he would have yielded to US pressure and settled a bargain rather than opting for atomic explosions to counter Indian blasts, the spokesman further said.
