PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar Sunday said that the elements involved in the heinous crime of terrorist attacks would be brought to justice, as they were enemies of humanity, country and Islam and deserved to be taken to task without any delay.
Expressing his deep sympathies with the victims of the Mattani car bomb attack, the governor further pointed out that targeting government officials in particular clearly speaks the ulterior motives of the elements involved in the heinous crime and no effort will be spared to bring them to court of law.
Barrister Masood Kausar particularly referred to the martyrdom of the Political Tehsildar of the North Waziristan, Hashim Gul and his close relatives in the tragic incident and said that all those, who have embraced martyrdom for the country, are the heroes of the nation and their sacrifices will always be remembered with great honor and dignity.
The governor prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with patience.

In a statement on Sunday, Kausar said no delay would be surfaced in arresting the responsible of Mattni blast.
Our staff reporter adds: In order to trace out the responsible behind Mattni bomb blast, rural Police Peshawar collected the evidence and shifted the engine of the vehicle to laboratory for further investigation.
Talking to media persons Superintend of Police for rural circle Khurshed Khan said that earlier its has been noticed that the bomb has been planted in double cabin vehicle of the political teshsildar but the investigation was not correct and later on it was confirmed that an Alto car had been used in the blast. He said that police have collected the engine number and other related evidences, which has been shifted to laboratory for further investigation.
He said that some of the suspected persons are also under interrogation and soon police would reach on the conclusion. It is also speculated that the target of the blast might be political Tehsildar Hashim Gul who was killed along with his four accomplices.
Meanwhile, keeping in view the importance of the Peshawar-Torkham road as a key link for promotion of trade between Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar has approved construction of 45 km long Peshawar-Torkham road with a cost of Rs 5.60 billion.
The project is to be started this year and completed within 18 months time duration. It may be mentioned here, that on special directives of the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Fata Secretariat is giving top priority to improve the communication system in Fata especially Peshawar-Torkhum highway and sufficient funds have been allocated to improve the road network in different tribal agencies and frontier regions.
For ensuring timely completion of the Peshawar-Torkham road, the Fata Secretariat will play a lead role whereas funding for execution of the project will be provided by USAID. The National Highway Authority will be the executing agency whereas construction work will be carried out by the Frontier Works Organisation.
In this regard, principal agreement with the USAID has been reached and an agreement to this effect will be signed in the 2nd week of September this year.
After signing of the agreement, work on the project will start very soon. Work on the 45 kilometers long road is expected to be completed within 18 months.
Peshawar-Torkham is one of the busiest highways in Pakistan which is daily used by commuters for transportation of passengers and as a source for Afghan transit trade. Construction of this road will not only facilitate the people of Khyber Agency but also boost up the trading activities between businessmen of Pakistan and Afghanistan to a great extent.
Construction of this highway will be a proof of commitment that the government is showing towards improving the communication system in far flung tribal areas for which ample amount has been allocated in the current financial year budget.
