Saira vows to revive public trust in depts

HAFIZABAD
Minister of State Saira Afzal Tarar declared on Monday that different government departments will be purge of corrupt mafia and officials found negligent in the performance of their duties or working for vested interest would be made accountable sternly so that confidence of the common man could be revived and eliminate bribery and approach culture from public entities.
Addressing meeting of the newly-constituted District Coordination Committee, which was attended among others by MNA Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti, MPAs - Malik Fayyaz Ahmad Awan, Ch Asad Ullah Arrain, DCO Mansoor Qadir, District Officer (Cord) Noman Hafeez and other heads of different departments, she stressed the need for solid and effective steps for improving the system, which, she said, was inevitable for improving service delivery promptly. She warned that those found negligent or evincing little interest in the implementation of welfare agenda of the present government would be shown zero tolerance. She also directed the officers to ensure punctuality in offices and educational institutions for their better functioning. She also stressed the need for surprise inspection of hospitals for improving their functions and ensuring better treatment to the ailing humanity.
On the occasion, newly-posted DCO Mansoor Qadir assured the minister that he and his team would spare no effort in the performance in different departments and utilize the development funds with the consultations of public representatives.
Later, the minister visited village Jurian of Shaheed Capt Sarfraz Khan and expressed her sympathies with his father Retired Sub Major Mansib Ali Khan and other family members. She said that she and the nation was proud of the young Shaheed Capt for making supreme sacrifice while defending his homeland.
