LARKANA - In connection with the 34th death anniversary of PPP patron-in-chief Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, President Asif Zardari and party chairman Bilawal visited graveyard of Bhutto family here on Wednesday.
The President laid floral wreath, offered Fateha and recited verses from the Holy Quran. He also visited the graveyard Benazir Bhutto, laid floral wreath and offered Fateha. President Zardari also visited the grave of Begum Nusrat Bhutto, laid floral wreath and offered Fateha. He also visited the graves of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto. The President was accompanied by his younger daughter Aseefa, former interior minister, Rehman Malik, and Dr Shafqat Soomro. Similarly, PPP chairman Bilawal Zardari visited the grave of ZAB, offered Fateha and laid floral wreath.
Bilawal also visited the graves of his mother Benazir Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto, laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha.
He was accompanied by his younger sister Bakhtawar and Owais Muzaffar.
Meanwhile, PPP Cultural Wing Hyderabad president Aziz Memon said that the 34th death anniversary of ZAB would be observed on April 4 (today). In a statement, he said that Quran Khwani and Dua will be offered for the soul of ZAB at 11 a.m at District Council Hyderabad.
On the other hand, the Sindh government has declared a province-wide holiday for today in connection with death anniversary of ZAB.
All government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the provincial government will remain closed today.
Meanwhile, PPP Sindh president Syed Qaim Ali Shah called on speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro at Khuhro House on Wednesday. They discussed the political situation and also matters related to Larkana district election scenario for general election.
Khuhro said, "In past anti-PPP alliances were formed but they faded away with passage of time."
He said the PPP opponents will face defeat again in the coming general election.
He vowed to fight, politically, the PPP opponents in the coming election and results will show that people are with the party. Qaim said the PPP will once again get clean sweep from Larkana with support of masses.
