TOBA TEK SINGH - As many as 12 deserving couples tied the knots during a mass-wedding ceremony held at Toba city under the auspices of Markazi Milad Committee (MMC) the other day.
DCO Syed Javed Iqbal, TMA Administrator Khadim Jeelani, AC Fareeha Tehseen and MMC President Ahmad Din Rehmani were present on the occasion.
MMC President said that every bride had been given dowry worth Rs150,000. Naat, speech competitions: In connection with Jashn-e-Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH), a naat and speech competitions were held at Fauji Foundation School here the other day.
The school students took part in the competitions. Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Col (r) Atta Mohiuddin and Vice Principal Ms Zaibun Nisa urged the students to spend their lives according to the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
