US commends Pak sacrifices in terror war

ISLAMABAD - Washington on Saturday expressed solidarity and sympathy with Islamabad after 10 Pakistani soldiers laid down their lives in clashes with militants in Khyber Agency.
In a statement the US embassy said, “United States government and the people pay homage to Pakistanis, those who were killed, and bereaved families”.
The statement further said Pakistani forces had rendered great sacrifices during war against terrorists.
It said US and its people were standing with the people of Pakistan against terrorists as they posed threat to both Pakistan and the United States.
The statement noted that the US and Pakistan were united against terrorists.
Pakistan’s military has been battling a TTP-led insurgency since 2008 in Northern Areas.
