PESHAWAR- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Health Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has announced to introduce Electronic Management Information Systems (EMIS) in health departments to strengthen their performance and to eliminate the menace of corruption and commission culture.
He said this while addressing a workshop on management information systems in healthcare of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas in Peshawar today.
He also welcomed the donors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and assured that they would not only be respected but also be facilitated as much as possible.
The workshop was arranged by GIZ. On the occasion, the participants were briefed in detail about the set up of electronic management information systems, its mechanism, auto report generation, activities, objectives and its proposed results. The suggestions, recommendations and comments were also shared to make the system fruitful.
The Health Minister lauded the role of GIZ and other donors in the improvement of Provincial departments and said the present Provincial Government would facilitate them to ensure the transparent use of funds in respective projects. He also urged the concerned authorities and officials to change their attitude and said that the workable road map and the clear strategy were the basic requirements to bring about a real change.
