MUZAFFARGARH- In a tragic turn of events a youth was allegedly killed by shots fired by former governor Punjab, Ghulam Mustufa Khar’s son today.
According to reports, Bilal Khar resorted to indiscriminate firing in Mauza Bait Angara, a village near Muzaffargarh, while spearheading a squatting drive to occupy disputed agrarian land his uncle Ghulam Murtuza Khar has laid claim to. “He was shooting in all directions and people were running for their lives. Then a young man got hit. He later died in the hospital,” a private TV channel reported. The death of a fellow villager at the hands of a powerful feudal lord triggered agitation in the area. As a protest the bereaved family members and local residents carried the body of the deceased all the way to the GT Road and blocked it. The protestors were demanding the arrest of Bilal Khar, who has a long history of barbarity.
