ISLAMABAD - The proposed visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping is not being cancelled and dates of the visit are being worked out mutually through diplomatic channels of the two countries.
According diplomatic sources, a high-level Chinese team comprising security and protocol of the Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Islamabad Wednesday to finalize the dates.
The sources said the Chinese team held meetings with Pakistani counterparts after its arrival to finalize the schedule of the visit of the Chinese President.
The Chinese President during his upcoming visit would inaugurate groundbreaking of Lahore-Karachi Motorway and important power projects to be undertaken with Chinese investment in Pakistan.
