PESHAWAR - The local police foiled a major terror activity by defusing a 5-kg explosive device in Sirband area of Peshawar on Wednesday. Sources said that the device planted near a street in Ahini village jurisdiction of Sirband police station. Local people informed the police that a suspected device had been planted in a street of their area, which may explode and cause destruction. The police and bomb disposal squad rushed to the site and defused the bomb successfully. The police started investigation, however, no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
