ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday said that political reconciliation and accommodation of one another's point of view offered solutions to political, economic and security problems. He observed that the people had gained democratic dispensation after a long and arduous struggle and now it was responsibility of the political leadership to work for the betterment of the people instead of wasting time in political wrangling and mudslinging. The Prime Minister said this while talking to Governor of Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa who called on him at the PM's House on Friday morning. He said that cooperation among the major political parties would help focus on real economic issues. The Prime Minister also stressed upon the Governor to coordinate with the administration of Punjab for early completion of reconstruction and rehabilitation work in the flood-affected areas. He also asked the Governor to monitor the pace of work on projects announced by him for the development of backward regions during his visits in Punjab. The Governor also apprised the Prime Minister of his meetings with the political leadership of various parties. The political and administrative matters of the province were also discussed in the meeting.
