Dacoities on the rise in Mardan



MARDAN - The incidents of dacoities are increasing with each passing day in Mardan city, which has created a sense of unrest among the masses.
They said that dacoities incidents have increased in the city for the last few weeks, adding that few weeks ago three persons had entered a barbershop located on Bank Road in the limits of City Police Station and looted cash and other valuables. They added that later unidentified gunmen entered Naveed Khan house, located at Toheed Colony, in the limits of City Police Station and looted cash and other valuable things.
Sources further said that unidentified thieves stole gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from a car of a doctor named Mohammad Shoaib Khan in the limits of city police station.
They said that some unidentified men entered one Ali Rehman’s house located in the limits of Saddar police station and looted, gold ornaments, cash and mobile sets and other valuable things.
The sources further said that on last Saturday, unidentified persons entered a house of Farman ud Din and looted gold ornaments, millions of rupees cash and other valuable things in the limits of Sadr police station.
According to the sources, majority of the incidents occurred in the areas of provincial constituency PK-23 from where the chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti was elected MPA.
It is to be noted that there are several cases of dacoities in which police did not register the cases and are using delaying tactics.
In some parts of the city people also faced encounters with unidentified thieves during night.
