Punjab to be responsible for any ‘mishap’: YDA

MULTAN - The Young Doctors Association announced on Monday to end boycott of outdoor patient department and resumed their duties while wearing black armbands.
"We've decided to end the camps. But if our demands are not accepted within 48 hours, we'll stage a hunger strike camp on February 6," announced YDA Multan chapter Chairman Dr Ali Waqas and general secretary Jahangir Khan while addressing a news conference here at Nishtar Hospital. He further warned that the Punjab Government would be responsible for the law and order situation, if the police assaulted the participants of hunger strike camp. "Even if anyone loses life because of hunger, the Punjab Government will be held responsible for this life loss," he maintained.
He demanded the government to give free and quality medicines to the patients, make all hospitals functional by replacing out of order and outdated machinery, announce service structure for doctors and end vindictive actions against YDA.
JTA KASHMIR DAY RALLY: The activists of Jamiat Talaba Arabi (JTA) brought out a pre-Kashmir Day rally to express solidarity with Kashmiris here on Monday. The rally started from Jamiaul Uloom under the leadership of Amir JI Multan district Asif Mehmood Akhwani and JTA Organizer Hafiz Sohaib. The participants of the rally carried non-stop sloganeering against India, Israel, USA and Pakistani government. Speaking on this occasion, Dr Asif Akhwani said that the Kasmir dispute could not be settled through dialogue rather it needed Jihad. He added that Kasmir was lifeline for Pakistan and leaving it at the mercy of the enemy could pose a serious threat to country's interests.
All the participants of the walk pledged to continue their struggle until Kashmir got freed. They added that they would not flinch from sacrificing their lives for the sake of country.
