LAHORE  - A 10-year-old boy drowned in the canal on Thursday. The boy, identified as Muhammad Irfan, was taking bath in the canal near Johar Town Underpass during sizzling weather on Thursday when he drowned. The eyewitnesses contacted the rescue workers after the boy did not come out. The rescuers launched the rescue operation but failed to pull out the victim from the deep water till Thursday night.
