PESHAWAR - The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Youth Wing demanded the party central leadership to ensure at least 25 per cent quota in awarding party tickets to youth to emerge the party a stronger force in the upcoming general elections.
Addressing at a press conference here at the press club on Friday, PTI Youth Wing General Secretary Amjad Akbar Orakzai said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had promised to award 25 per cent party tickets to youth in the upcoming elections. But now, he said the youths were completely ignored and merit was also being ignored in awarding party tickets to candidates.
“The central leadership should take notice of the policy of favouritism and nepotism in awarding party tickets to blue eyed in KPK,” he demanded.
Flanked by the PTI Youth Wing Peshawar, former president Shamsuddin, Muzamil Khan and other leaders, he said the quota policy for youth in awarding tickets was not being followed that had created great unrest among them.
He held the provincial leaders responsible for the alleged unfair distribution of party tickets in the province. He viewed that if youth was ignored in the next general elections, the PTI will not emerge as a stronger force in the KPK.
He demanded the party Chairman Imran Khan and members of the party central parliamentary board to ensure 25 per cent youth quota in awarding tickets to the PTI youth in the province.
