US wants prosperous Pakistan

JACOBABAD - Deputy Mission Director US Consulate Karachi Leon S Waskan said that the US was cooperating with Pakistan in many sectors for the betterment of economic and social condition in the country.
He was addressing the English Essays Macro Scholarship Graduation ceremony held at Town Hall here the other day.
Leon said the US had helped Pakistan during flood and other natural calamities and had extended its cooperation in various fields including Health and education.
He informed that the construction of modern Trauma Centre would be started soon that would help to reduce the risk of fatalities in emergency cases. Leon was surprised at the performance of the students and appreciated their talent.
He informed that along with the cooperation in development of health and education sector, the US also wanted to help in making municipal services and water schemes better.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Syed Ghazanfar Shah thanked the USAID for providing help to the people. He said that there was a dire need to encourage the talented young generation and this scholarship scheme must be continued so that more and more students can be encouraged. Earlier, Administrator victor Public School Jacobabad Bruner B Nuton Tony said that they were making efforts to impart standard education to children and steps were being taken for their capacity building.
He said that they had imparted English Learning Training to 200 Students, adding that three girl students Neha, Bharti and Diksha were completing training course in the US and will return in June this year and another student Falk Naz Soomro will also go to US for this course.
He demanded the US authority to continue such training programms for the betterment of students. Coordinator for English Program US consulate Karachi Ayesha, Naheed Awan, Sardarzadi Jakhrani, Nimra Fayaz, also spoke on the occasion on completion of English Training Course.  Ali Zain, Ayaz Mirani, Farhat Naz, Shahar Bano, Eman, Jai Parkash and others were awarded certificates by Leon S Waskan, DC Ghazanfar Shah, Ayesha and Mrs Tony. Meanwhile, eight members team Headed by US consulate Coordinator Arif Parvez held a meeting with DC Jacobabad in connection with construction of Hospital in collaboration with USAID. The team also visited proposed hospital site at Bismillah Bagh.
