Faisalabad district administration arranged various programmes to highlight the Kashmir issue and to express the solidarity with the kashmiris. A contest was held at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium with the joint arrangement of Education department of City District Govt. and Faisalabad Arts Council to mark the occasion.
MPA Haji Khalid Saeed, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and CPO Dr Haider Ashraf participated in this moot as chief guests while Resident Director Arts Council Tariq Javed, DO Education Secondary Khalid Mehmud, DDO(E) Saima Khan, Assistant Director Sardar Sajid other educationists, notables and a large number of students were also present on the occasion.
The students delivered thoughtful speeches on the subject of “Liberation of Kashmir is completion of Pakistan”. They highlighted the Kashmir issues and the Indian atrocity in the valley during their speeches. The DCO awarded cash prizes of Rs10,000 each to Bushra Tahir, Johem Israr and Smiya Maqsud for delivering speeches and national songs in excellent manner and announced prizes of Rs5000 to all participants of declamation contest. Speaking on the occasion, MPA Haji Khalid Saeed said that the observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day was a reaffirmation of our moral political and diplomatic support towards our Kashmir brethren in their justified struggle for right to self determination. He stressed upon the world forces to get the resolution of UNO implemented for resolution of outstanding issue of Kashmir.
He lauded the capabilities of the participants of declamation contests and said that new generation should also be well versed with the Kashmir issue. The DCO said that Kashmir brethren should be given their fundamental rights in accordance with their aspiration. He said that the world forces should realise the requirements of the justice and to play their due role for the independence of the Indian held Kashmir. He said that Pakistani nation would stand by Kashmiri brethren until the realisation of their right to self determination.
Earlier, the day was dawn with special prayers in the mosques for the independence of occupied Kashmir and offered fateha for the soles of martyrs of Kashmir rally. One minute silence was observed in the honour of the Kashmiri martyrs. Meanwhile, a seminar on the issue of Kashmir was held under the arrangements of Director of Colleges at Govt Municipal Degree College which was presided over by Director College Rana Munawar Khan. Deputy Director College Muhammad Idrees participated as guest of honour while the Principal PRO Muhammad Yaqub Amjad and faculty members were also present in the seminar.
The speakers of the seminar highlighted the Kashmir issue and said that Kashmir was the integral part of the Pakistan and India would had to leave the unjustified occupation. Later, a walk was also held at Jaranwala Road to express solidarity with the Kashmiris.
The participants of the walk were carrying placards and banners with the slogans of Kashmir independence. Faisalabad Arts Council organised a stage drama titled “Kashmir Ke Beti” at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium in which the atrocities of Indian army were depicted by the performers.
The photo exhibition was also arranged at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Art Gallery. A walk was also held under the arrangements of Faisalabad Arts Council in which the artists of fine arts participated. They chanted slogans against the Indian govt. Meanwhile, various religious, social, political and business organizers also arranged different functions and rallies.
