NOORPUR THAL – The parliament is not a rubberstamp and the present democratic government could not be destabilised through hatching conspiracies, as political and democratic system has been achieved after great sacrifices for years.
These views were expressed by PPP District Khushab Senior Vice President Dr Akhtar Hussain Thaeem while addressing a press conference at the PPP city office here on Thursday. PPP City President Malik Ejaz Hussain Chardram was also present on the occasion. He said the democratic system was the result of numerous sacrifices by leaders including Mohatarma Benazir Bhutto and ZAB. Dr Akhtar said those who called the parliament a rubberstamp should clear their mind. The entire nation, civil society and media have been supporting democracy to prevail in the country, he said.
