Sindh: Ten killed in two road accidents

Nooriabad/Naushehro- At least 10 people were killed and several others injured today morning in two road accidents in Nooriabad and Naushehro Feroze areas of Sindh.
According to details, at least eight persons died and several sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a van and a truck on the Karachi-Hyderabad Super Highway.  Police said that a passenger van on way from Sukkur to Karachi clashed with a speedy truck coming from the opposite direction on Super Highway here
leaving 8 dead on the spot, while several sustained injuries. The bodies and the injured have been shifted to the nearby hospital.
Police said that the accident occurred due to reckless driving. In another accident, two drivers were burnt to death when an oil tanker and a truck collided on the National Highway sparking huge fire today morning.
Sources said that the incident occurred near Nangushah on the National Highway, where the oil tanker and the truck came clashing due to negligence of the drivers, who paid dearly as the ensuing huge fire charred them to
death, while the traffic on the Highway also went suspended. Rescue teams reached the site and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital whereas fire tenders were also called on. Police upon reaching the site of the incident blocked one track of the National Highway to carry out the rescue operation.
