LAKKI MARWAT - EDO Education Haji Meer Azam Khan has called upon female teachers to play role in increasing enrolment of students in girls schools in order to improve women education in the district.
Speaking at a meeting in government girl’s primary school Railway Junction on Monday, the EDO said that higher quarters concerned of the government would be requested to sanction more posts of female teachers for the district in case the enrolments of students was increased in girls schools up to the desired level.
Headmistresses of state run girl’s primary schools attended the meeting. ADO Ms Shagufta Ameen, Centre In charge Ms Zeenat Bibi and NCHD Markez Coordinator Ms Shoaib Kausar were among other speakers.
Azam said that strict action would be initiated on complaints about absenteeism of female teachers from schools. He told that complaints on daily basis were pouring into his office about the missing of female teachers from schools.
“Absenteeism is an intolerable act”, he maintained, calling upon the teachers to mend their ways and ensure attendance in their respective schools. He said that presence/ attendance of female teachers would help to win the people and persuade them to send their daughters to the schools.
