MARDAN - Mardan police claimed to have arrested 113 suspected persons including 48 proclaimed offenders and recovered huge cache of arms from their possession in the ongoing operation in the rural areas of Mardan. Briefing the reporters, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mardan, Abdullah Khan said that in the supervision of District Police Officer, Swabi, SP operation Mardan Ihsan Ali, the police continued search operation against the criminals, miscreants, suspected people and proclaimed offenders both in Mardan and Swabi rural areas including Babani, Jamra, Guli Bagh, Dobui Adda, Bakhsahli, Gujrat, Sawaldher, Mohib Banda, Baghchai Dahri of Mardan district and Bamkhil, Saleem Khan, Dagi, Topi, Yar Hussan, Yaqoobi and other suspected places of Sawabi district during Eid. He further said that police arrested 113 suspected people including 48 proclaimed offenders in different raids and recovered one hand grenade, 25 Kalashnikov rifles, 10 Kalakov, 29 guns, 173 pistols, 3,499 carriages, 11.365 kilograms of hashish and 848 grams of heroin.
