MIR ALI- Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif today arrived in Mir Ali town of North Waziristan to observe 48th Defence Day with troops engaged in Operation Zarb-e-Azb against Taliban insurgents.

Two days earlier, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesman said that Shahbaz Top, the most dominating feature around Mir Ali, overlooking the main road, has been cleared of terrorists.

The Defence Day of Pakistan is celebrated on September 6 every year in Pakistan to commemorate the sacrifices given by the armed forces.
