ISLAMABAD- The government has hammered out a plan to cope with the long marches and demonstrations announced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
On one hand police have surrounded Minhajul Quran Secretariat to exert pressure on Qadri while on other the government is employing political tactics to cope with Imran Khan.
Latest moves by the government on how to tackle with the Azadi March and Inqelab March have made its policy visible. Police swung into action to control Awami Tehreek in a move which reflects government’s policy to handle the issue administratively.
The government is mulling to isolate the cricket-star-turned politician by keeping other political parties at distance in order to strengthen its fort as much as possible. To isolate Khan, Mian Nawaz Sharif, after consulting his close aides, is ready to meet political rival like MQM.
