Islamabad  - Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has expressed his grief and sorrow over the passing away of former Amir Jamaat Islami, Qazi Hussain Ahmed. The Prime Minister in his message of condolence said that Qazi sahib was a respected leader and a seasoned politician.  His deep knowledge of religious teachings distinguished him, he said. The Prime Minister said that in his loss the nation has been deprived of an eminent religious leader who stood by his convictions. He prayed to Almighty Allah to shower His blessings upon the departed soul and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
