Release of Pak journalist demanded

PESHAWAR - Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) while expressing severe resentment over detention of a private TV channel reporter Faizullah Khan by Afghanistan security forces, has urged upon President Hamid Karzai for early intervention into the matter and release the journalist at earliest.
PFUJ Vice President Shamim Shahid through a press statement on Friday recalled that Faizullah, a reporter of ARY travelled to the Federally Administrative Tribal Areas (FATA) in April for conducting interviews of commanders of banned militants group. But unfortunately, he said the reporter crossed over the border mistakenly and was arrested by Afghanistan's security forces.
According to PFUJ statement, Faizullah after his arrest from somewhere in the border region was shifted to Jalalabad, headquarters of Nangarhar province, Afghanistan.
