KPK police recovers a kidnapping victim

ISLAMABAD- Islamabad and Peshawar police have recovered an abducted person said a police spokesman. Three women have also been arrested in this connection.

Bilal Mehmud’s vehicle was stopped by unidentified persons near `Bhidana graveyard’ in Tarnol police area. They kidnapped him and his servant Mehmud at gun point. They freed Mehmud near the Swabi interchange and sped away.

The kidnappers contacted the family members of Bilal Mehmud through his cell number and demanded a ransom of Rs. 20 million. Tarnol police registered a case after Ch. Sultan Mehmud complained and started an investigation.

Senior police officials constituted a special team under the supervision of SP Saddar, SDPO Saddar and police officers of Tarnol police station. This team raided the hideouts of kidnappers in the `Kharka area’ in the Daudzia police jurisdiction along with DSP Peshawar Fazal Wahid and recovered the victim. Police also arrested three women who were present in the house at the time of the raid.  KPK police assisted the Islamabad police in this operation.

Tarnol police has transferred the accused to jail after getting permission from the KPK home department and presenting them in ATA Court.  The Police are also searching for the other accomplices in this case.
