PESHAWAR - Mohammad Ibrar Khalil, chief of Quami Watan Party (QWP) district Peshawar chapter, said the PTI-led coalition government has completely ignored underprivileged districts in the current fiscal budget and it has failed to announce any mega development project for the provincial capital.
Addressing a news conference here at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, the QWP leader said that allocation of insufficient budget for less-developed districts has created frustration against the incumbent coalition government in the province.
Ibrar said that people voted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to power to bring change in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but it has completely failed to honour its pre-election commitment. He said the change is invisible in the province. “No step has been taken to resolve key issues, like lawlessness, kidnapping for ransom, unemployment and price hike in the province,” he criticised.
Owing to wrong policies of the federal and provincial governments, the QWP leader said, the KP has been adversely affected. He said the people are feeling insecure due to spiralling deteriorating law and order situation in KP. In wake of lawlessness, he said, industries and businesses were being shifted to other parts of the country.
