Interior Ministry beefs up security in Rawalpindi district courts

RAWALPINDI- Interior ministry has released funds amounting to Rs 800000 on emergency basis for fool-proof security arrangements at district courts in Rawalpindi and Judicial Complex.

During a joint meeting of the district and sessions judge Rawalpindi, district police officers and district bar association, a new security  plan has been developed. Police trenches have been constructed at four key points around the district courts, 68 armed policemen armed with old pistols, rifles and new LMG have been deployed there.

Six walk-through gates have been approved and two walk-through gates have been provided already. Twenty new close-circuit cameras will be installed there, and eight cameras are being installed in anti terrorism court.
