LAHORE - Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that Pervaiz Elahi has still not forgotten the crushing defeat of February 18 general elections and the fact that he was the sleeping partner of Pervez Musharraf on compromising the national interests. Reacting to the statement of Ch Pervaiz Elahi regarding long march, Rana Sanaullah said that Pervaiz Elahi was expert in entangling the issues and he should know that the issues like price-hike and unemployment were related to policies of federal government and not the provincial government. He said the positive criticism of Nawaz Sharif was not for Pervaiz Elahi; therefore, he should not have been perturbed over it. He said the good governance of Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif had been recognised at international level, whereas the entire world was well aware of the 'achievements of Pervaiz Elahi and his son. He said that it was true that people really wanted improvement in the situation, that is why, they had given crushing defeat to Pervaiz Elahi and his cronies in February 18 elections. The law minister said instead of criticising good governance of Punjab government, Mr Pervaiz Elahi should come up with explanation of the misdeeds committed during his tenure. The minister said that political career of former chief minister was based on lies and loot. He said that Pervaiz Elahi should keep in mind that had he been a real politician, the parliamentarians of his party would not have left him. He said Pervaiz Elahi who was making claim of electing former dictator Pervez Musharraf as President in uniform for ten times was now trying to isolate himself from his mentor.
