LAHORE - Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of a mosque within the premises of the Assembly. The mosques upper portion would accommodate 250 faithful while the lower portion would have a capacity of 250 people. According to initial estimates, Rs 12 million would be spent on the construction. While talking to the reporters the Speaker said that the country was at its crossroads, which called for unity and harmony within the nation. He said that the recent floods had affected tens of thousands of people and had caused destruction worth billions. He further said that the nation must ask for divine repentance in the holy month of Ramazan.
